A virtual events tech company saw a huge spike in leads when the pandemic caused millions of workers to seek remote working capabilities. The client was drowning in customer requests and unable to keep up with the manual processing. of requests per month and all requests were coming in through an email.

GreenLit Marketing took a triage approach to first implement a form to expedite signup and then later installed a fully automated and integrated subscription management solution.

 

The results?

The client saved more than 30 hours a week in processing time alone and was able to better focus on their business with automated communications in place. The automation made it easy to process a pricing upgrade allowing them to double their subscription revenue.

The Problem

Prospects had to email the company to ask for a subscription. The client then had to follow up with the prospect to ask for their information, wait for a response and then process the subscription. Total processing time took more than hour and the bulk of the requests were for unpaid (free) subscriptions.

With a sudden increase in demand, the client found themselves unable to keep up with the subscription requests and spent hours of operational time getting users set up in the system.

The Solution

The first thing that GreenLit Marketing did was to implement a subscription sign up form and remove their email address from the website. This immediately saved 30 hours of processing time per week.

Next GreenLit Marketing worked on implementing an integrated subscription management system that would be able to capture subscription signups and empower customers with the ability to update payment methods and make changes to their subscription themselves. The system integrated a CRM, marketing automation, subscription management, payment processor and tax remittance tools into one seamless system.

The client is now able to get clear insight into their subscriptions and free subscribers have an easy pathway to upgrade, allowing GreenLit to convert free to paid utilizing upsell nurture campaigns.
